Catskill and Delaware Watersheds- located in Delaware, Greene, Schoharie, Sullivan, Ulster, and portions of Putnam and Westchester counties east of the Hudson River, provides about 90% of daily NYC's water.

Picture - Ashokan Reservoir supplies 40% of the total NYC water use this is their oldest reservoir built in 1915 with around 122 billion gallons available.

The Catskill-Delaware Natural Water Alliance, Inc. has dedicated its purpose to preserve all of these resources for present and future generations since 1992. Most of the water is provided by precipitation (rain & snow) that falls within the Vital Watershed and is collected within the reservoirs.
